Food Storage Label Maker (FSLM) is a program designed to assist in keeping track of your food storage inventory. Anyone who stores food knows that the hardest thing about food storage is how to keep track of your inventory and an item's rotation.

Revelar's Food Storage Planner (FSP) is a fantastic program that is designed to help you "buy, store, and rotate" your food storage items. Using FSP, your inventory will become much more well rounded, and your spoilage will dramatically decrease. But one thing FSP doesn't do, is give you anything to readily identify the individual item. Knowing which item will expire first is very important. That's where FSLM comes in.

After going to the store, use FSLM to fill out and print off "usage tags", and then attach the tag to the food item. Put your food item away into your storage, and add the item's information into FSP's database. Now comes the best part! When you go into your storage room to get an item to use in the kitchen, don't worry about trying to remember to take it out of FSP's inventory later - just remove the "usage tag" from the food item. Place the tag in a secure location, and at a more convenient time, take all of your accumulated "usage tags" to your computer and remove the items from FSP's database.
